Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing, is seeking a Material Planner to join their team. As a Material Planner, you will be part of the Supply Chain Management department supporting production and logistics teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:  Material Planner

Location:  Independence, MO

Pay Range: $20 to 27 p/h w-2
6 month contract 

What's the Job?

• Manage the sourcing of raw and packaging materials to support business growth objectives.
• Review material availability for production at manufacturing sites and coordinate expediting or de-expediting as needed.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to improve vendor reliability and responsiveness.
• Monitor inventory levels, optimize stock, and reduce waste to ensure efficient operations.
• Support innovation launches and material setup to facilitate flawless product introductions.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in material requirements planning.
• Strong understanding of data analysis, root cause analysis, and statistical methods.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of SAP ECC is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
