Quality Control Inspector

DIRECT HIRE ONLY- Local applicants- American Holt seeks a proactive, hands-on Machinist/   Quality Control Inspector with demonstrated experience in the inspection of precision machined mechanical parts to work in our Norwood, MA office. We are looking for someone dependable, hard-working, and happy keeping themselves busy. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, ability to follow directions, a strong attention to detail and previous experience with inspection of precision machined parts. Because the QCI will be working closely with other inspectors, it is crucial that he/she possess a strong knowledge of inspection techniques including the proper setup of parts to determine geometrical accuracy. Salary $80,000-$100,000- negotiable based on experience.

The Primary Responsibilities of this Role Include :

· Reviewing inspection reports and accurately enter data into a database

· Develop and maintain inspection forms and written operating procedures

· Utilize a wide assortment of metrology equipment

· Work independently and move through jobs in a timely manner

To Succeed in this New Role, This Individual will need to:

· A minimum of 5 years mechanical inspection and/or machining experience

· Must be Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and specifications

· Familiar with all inspection equipment, including CMM, Micrometer, caliper, dial indicators, etc.

· Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

· Document inspection results accurately and completely by entering all quality data into the appropriate electronic system.

· Strong Understanding of GD&T (Geometric dimensioning & tolerancing)

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Ability to lift 35lbs

· Good communications skills (both written & verbal)

· Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Maintains work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition

· Performs other related duties as directed

· Top candidates will have familiarity with 3D metrology techniques and equipment and also ability to understand drawings within Solidworks software
