Job Description

Description:
To work less than 30 hours a week, in support of our C-Store sales and service. To be friendly, customer focused and dedicated to the improvement of our C-Store business.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
o An entry position at the Cooperative
o Past business experience desired, but will train right person

Required Knowledge:
o Basic use of fuel pump equipment
o Make tickets and account for the cash drawer
o Handle merchandise and food items

Language Skills:
o Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
o Write routine reports and correspondence
o Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

Mathematical Skills:
o Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
o Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, when needed

Reasoning Ability:
o Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
o Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Finger Dexterity: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together.

Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

Repetitive Motions: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hand and/or fingers.

Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.

Physical Strength: Counter work, occasionally will be required to lift 25 lbs up to 50 lbs.

Additional Info:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Including the following duties and others that may be assigned

o Promote sales and service through our C-Store location
•Advance new marketing ideas related to the C-Store business
•Greet people in a friendly and professional manner

o Responsible for the fuel pumps, cash drawer, long or short, merchandise, food items and any related inventory
•Minimize shrink and shortage
•Clean restrooms
•Maintain a clean environment at all times

o To be to work on time and work the scheduled hours

o Notify the Petroleum Service Center & C-Store Manager of any customer complaint or compliance issue
o Cooperate fully with the main business office to maintain accurate information for our customer base
