Our client is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistantto support the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at SUNY Old Westbury. This role provides short-term administrative and clerical support while the department transitions to a permanent hire. The ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a student-centered office environment. Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, and incoming calls to the EOP office Answer phones, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members Provide general support to students regarding office hours, deadlines, and resources Schedule appointments and maintain staff calendars as needed File documents and update student records in EOP databases Assist with creating simple communications such as emails, flyers, or handouts Support small events and workshops by setting up spaces and preparing materials Monitor and report office supply needs Maintain confidentiality of student records in accordance with campus policies Perform other basic administrative tasks as needed Qualifications: Previous experience in an office, administrative, or customer service role preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear and professional communication skills Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, and basic database tools Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Benefits: Health Insurance Sick Time 401k Location: 223 Store Hill Road, Old Westbury, NY 11568 Duration: approximately 5 months Apply by deadline: 08/11/25 Shift Days/Times: 8:30am to 5:00pm Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
