Welcome to The Freelance Firm! We are a national network of experienced, high-level freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for our client law firms.
Due to increased demand, we are now searching for a qualified, experienced and dedicated freelance Attorney with strong experience in Family Law, preferably located in the Tampa, FL, area, but not required. Work hours will be based upon matters assigned and be subject to change, however, the freelance attorney would only work those matters and hours based upon their availability.
Responsibilities:
* Handle a caseload of family law matters as assigned
*Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement conferences
*Draft and review legal documents and legal correspondence, including complicated motions and preparing equitable distribution charts for mediations
*Conduct discovery and legal research
*Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure case efficiency

Requirements:
- Must be licensed in good standing to practice in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in family law cases
- Strong research and writing skills and trial experience, able to attend hearings and deposition.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and be well organized
- Self-starter and able to work independently
- Able to attend in-person depositions, hearings and mediation in the Florida area.
