Job Description

A K-12 school in Cambridge, MA is seeking multiple Paraprofessionals for a contract position to support student learning throughout the school year. This role involves working closely with classroom teachers to provide assistance and guidance to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to help them succeed academically and socially
• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
• Monitor student behavior and encourage positive interactions
• Support students with special needs as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Help prepare classroom materials and organize learning environments
• Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student progress and challenges

Qualifications:

• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in an educational setting
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team
• Strong interpersonal skills and patience to support children with varying needs
• Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Relevant paraprofessional certification or coursework is preferred but not required
