Job Description

This opportunity is for a dedicated paraprofessional to support K-12 students in an educational setting. The role involves working closely with teachers and students to enhance learning experiences and provide individualized assistance to meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional tasks and daily classroom activities.
• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources as directed.
• Monitor and document student progress under teacher guidance.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to address students' academic and social-emotional needs.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar educational support role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and abilities.
• Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student success.
• Understanding of classroom management techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant certifications a plus.

Location: Winnetka, Illinois

This is a contract position for the current school year (CSY), ideal for candidates eager to contribute to a supportive learning community within a K-12 school environment.
