One of our clients is seeking a Tax Consultant.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $110,000 per year based on your experience. You will work onsite Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Some of your responsibilities as a Tax Consultant include:

• Preparing tax returns
• Reviewing client records
• Reviewing fully prepared tax returns, financial statements and other supporting documents for accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Assessing tax issues and identifying solutions
• Aid in business growth and client retention
• Staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records of all tax-related documents and correspondence
• Other duties as assigned

To qualify, you must have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Enrolled Agent certification is preferred, or the ability to earn within 9 months of employment
• 2+ years of tax preparation experience
• Experience reviewing client records
• Experience reviewing fully prepared tax returns, financial statements and other supporting documents for accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes
• Registration with the IRS and a valid PTIN
• Experience reconciling and balancing transactional activities of a complex nature.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with ProSeries and QuickBooks
