Active Top Secret Clearance with Poly Required

Salary Range: Up to $180K (salary is commensurate with education and experience)

Job Summary

The office provides engineering design and implementation expertise to support Enterprise network infrastructure, and also maintains a backlog of over three hundred IT related requirements supporting tenants from multiple organizations. The Sponsor’s office architects, designs, and develops secure and reliable network solutions that are optimized for mission needs. The Sponsor requires support specializing in systems integration to report for the purpose of oversight coordination, planning, implementation, and execution of concurrent highly visible, time sensitive, and designated critical systems for a multifaceted IT organization.

This job requires an existing Top Secret Clearance and Polygraph.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan, implement, test, document and maintain solutions to total systems and interfaces using internally created or commercial off-the-shelf products.
• Provide a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies, and requirements of hardware and software components.
• Coordinate with the Sponsor and other team members to provide technical guidance for the Sponsor’s optical networks.
• Provide design and integration services to upgrade the Sponsor’s legacy services, to include resolving design and integration issues. 
• Mitigate risk when planning and implementing new systems. 
• Make recommendations, if needed, on test and evaluation strategies for major systems’ installations.
• Ensure user satisfaction in the design, transition, and implementation of new technologies.
• Ensure adequate and appropriate planning is provided for hardware installation and integration.
• Communicate and plan installation and network changes with Sponsor’s facilities and site management departments. 
• Prepare engineering plan and site installation plan technical design packages for hardware and software.
• Provide the Sponsor solutions that are current with evolving network technologies.
• Research new technology, and implement it or recommend its implementation.
• Establish standard functional and technical specifications.
• Solve hardware and software interface problems.
• Ensure integration of entire system and subsystems in all new and future network designs.
• Coordinate with Vendors and with Company personnel to facilitate purchases.

Experience Needed:

• Citizenship: Must Be a US Citizen
• Existing Clearance Required: Active Top Secret SCI with PolyDemonstrated experience providing optical service.
• Demonstrated experience with Dense Wave Division Multiplexer design and implementation (DWDM).
• Demonstrated experience with legacy optical carrier equipment, Synchronize Optical Network.
• Demonstrated experience with data communications networks to manage devices.
• Demonstrated experience in optical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with fiber optic systems.
• Demonstrated experience in the field of optics and network integration.
• Demonstrated experience using the Agile software development methodology.
• Demonstrated experience producing reports and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau or SharePoint.
• Demonstrated experience with HTML and browser compatibility baselines.
• Demonstrated customer service skills responding to senior level requests.

• Demonstrated experience working both independently and on teams with minimal oversight.
• Demonstrated experience exhibiting skills and capabilities with Sponsor computer systems to produce ad hoc reports on project activity and Project Schedules for consumption by senior management.
• Demonstrated experience exhibiting oral and written communication skills across multiple customer communication needs: writing reports, meeting minutes, point papers, memos, and briefings.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating between the Sponsor and Sponsor’s partners and responding to all clients from the new-hire technician to high level staff and all in-between, for all customers who subscribe to the network.
