BUILDING : Snake River Opportunities High School -required to attend 4-5 face-to-face student adventure experiencdes during the year, plus portions of schoolwide face-to-face meetings.



HOURS: Part-time (20 hours per week, flexible schedule within school hours)



QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Experience working with adolescents in education, mentoring, coaching, or youth programs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially in virtual settings.
• Comfort with technology (Google Suite, Schoology, dashboards, video conferencing tools).
• Ability and willingness to travel for 4-5 face-to-face student adventure experiences and portions of schoolwide Summits each year.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Experience in alternative or non-traditional education settings.
• Background in mentoring or coaching students toward academic and personal goals.
• Familiarity with mastery-based or online learning models.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Meet with students virtually to provide mentoring and encouragement.
• Help students set goals and practice time management and organization.
• Support onboarding through the High School Foundations and Digital Literacy course.
• Share observations with staff as part of the MTSS process.
• Communicate with families to build strong school-home partnerships.
• Join select face-to-face events to build relationships and foster community.
• Uphold school policies and values that prioritize growth and student success.
