The University of Illinois Law Library invites applications and nominations for the position of Research & Instruction Law Librarian, Teaching Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include active participation in research support for law school faculty and students; teaching legal research courses; assisting in public engagement to promote faculty and student scholarship; providing reference to faculty, students, staff, the University community, and the public; assisting in supporting technology based-services for research, law library operations improvement, and content creation, such as digital initiatives and services; and service to the University, law school, and professional communities. This is an exciting position for someone who enjoys working closely with faculty and students, teaching legal research courses, and joining a team of creative, dedicated colleagues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school, and Master's degree in Information or Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution or the equivalent. A signed agreement to complete s Master's in Information or Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution within 2.5 years will also be acceptable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated successful experience teaching law students and partnering with law faculty on research projects.
