Pharmacy Intern P1 at Wegmans Food Markets summary:

As a Pharmacy Intern P1 at Wegmans, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside licensed pharmacists, managers, and technicians to provide exceptional customer service in a retail pharmacy setting. You will apply your pharmaceutical coursework practically, assist customers by answering questions and counseling on prescriptions, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. This part-time role is ideal for pharmacy students pursuing a PharmD degree who want to develop their skills in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

What will I do?

• Utilize and bring your coursework to life, while gaining a comprehensive knowledge of the retail pharmacy industry
• Work with your preceptor, Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists, and technicians to learn to better serve customer needs
• Answer questions, provide counseling on prescriptions, and relay any pertinent information so customers can successfully and confidently use medication at home
• Proactively contact internal and external business partners; comply with all federal, state, and HIPAA regulations; ensure company guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures are followed

Required Qualifications:

• In progress towards earning Pharm D degree in an accredited School of Pharmacy

• Pharmacist Intern Permit where applicable by state law

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pharmacy experience

• Immunization Certification

• Systems aptitude

• Computer skills
