Position Responsibilities Job in Miami Beach, FL, with occasional travel to other Mount Sinai locations in South Florida. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Manage and direct the Patient Experience Department, acting as the Patient Advocate during conflict resolution. Oversee daily management of employees, complaints, grievances, and report trends and improvement plans to top management. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and support leaders to identify root causes of issues and define improvement plans. Plan and execute Process Audits across nursing floors and operational units, identifying areas for retraining and improvement. Manage MSMC’s Employee Engagement Program, including budget management for incentives and training programs, and oversee the Patient Experience program rollout. Track employee performance and complaints using MSMC’s systems (HABIT, HAS). Education Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Management, or related field. Experience At least 1 year of experience in roles such as clinical intern, patient care coordinator, or quality improvement specialist. Experience working in clinical/hospital settings to improve patient care, communication, and care plans. Skills in data collection and analysis to identify improvement opportunities. Knowledge of medical terminology for effective communication with doctors and patients. Ability to conduct research and stay current with healthcare best practices. Excellent interaction and communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary teams. Must understand ethical principles, confidentiality, healthcare regulations, policies, and patient rights.
