DUTIES: Responsible for providing engaging and inquiry-based High School Mathematics instruction
anchored by the NYS Mathematics Standards to CTE students. Teacher will be responsible for stand-alone and specialized courses. Stand-alone courses focus is on personal finance. Specialized courses require an ability to collaborate with program teachers in developing engaging lessons that reinforce and elevate mathematical concepts embedded within the specific program of study, including finance. Develops supportive relationships with and among students, advances positive school culture and promotes attainment of academic goals. Must be a flexible, out of the box thinker who is able to work as a member of a supportive team of educators.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess New York State Teacher Certification in Mathematics 7-12.
Certifications in other content areas is a bonus. Must be a team player, have excellent interpersonal,
organizational and communication skills. Strong instructional and managerial computer skills are
desired.
