The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to enhance Girls Ment To Be’s online presence and community engagement. This role focuses on managing social media accounts, creating content, and promoting the organization's programs, events, and impact. Key Responsibilities: Social Media Management: Manage and update Girls Ment To Be’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). Develop and schedule engaging content, including graphics, videos, and stories. Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments, and interact with followers. Stay updated on social media trends to enhance online visibility. Content Creation & Branding: Design visually appealing social media posts using Canva or other design tools. Write compelling captions, blog posts, and promotional content. Ensure all branding aligns with Girls Ment To Be’s mission and values. Work with the Outreach and Program Coordinators to highlight events and initiatives. Marketing & Community Engagement: Develop digital marketing campaigns to attract volunteers, mentors, and participants. Collaborate with local media, influencers, and community organizations for promotion. Assist in email marketing campaigns and newsletter development. Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve engagement. Event Promotion & Public Relations: Promote Girls Ment To Be events through social media, press releases, and digital flyers. Work with the Outreach Coordinator to maximize event visibility. Capture photos and videos at events for future promotional use. Qualifications: Passion for social media, marketing, and youth mentorship. Strong communication and creative writing skills. Experience in social media management, graphic design, or digital marketing. Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Outlook, and scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Later, etc.). Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Time Commitment: Approximately 6-10 hours per week , with additional time during major campaigns. Flexibility to attend events for content creation.
