Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Director of Technology and Cybersecurity, the Manager of Technology and Cybersecurity is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliable, efficient, and secure operation of Singing River Health System's technology infrastructure and digital assets. This position strategically integrates the management of IT service delivery with the development, implementation, and enforcement of the organization's cybersecurity program. The Manager will lead technical teams, establish and maintain IT and security policies and procedures, oversee incident response, ensure regulatory compliance, and proactively protect the health system from evolving cyber threats. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of patient data and ensuring the continuity of healthcare operations.

Education: Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field required. A minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
License: N/A
Certifications: Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, ITIL certifications, or other related credentials are highly preferred but not required.
Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of IT systems experience is required. Healthcare IT experience preferred. Experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra/AD, and Virtual Servers is required.

Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary: involves sitting with occasional requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area. Work involves exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves using repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers while operating standard office equipment such as a computer keyboard and mouse. Work involves being able to perceive the nature of sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction; the ability to make fine discriminations in sound. Work requires close visual acuity and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus, i.e., shift gaze from viewing a computer monitor to forms/printed material that are closer to compare data at close vision. Must be able to be active for extended periods without undue fatigue and work flexible hours as needed for incident response or project deadlines.
Mental Demands: Must possess keen mental faculties in managing complex technical and security information and situations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential. Must possess excellent communication skills to receive and give information in person, by telephone, and in written form. Emotional stability to deal with moderate to high stress levels associated with managing critical systems, security incidents, and demanding timelines. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers, physicians, clinical staff, and other healthcare workers.
Special Demands: Must possess superior leadership and interpersonal skills. Proficient in computer use (keyboard proficiency) and other office technology (telephone, fax, etc.), MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and relevant IT service management and security software/tools. Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST 2.0, ISO 27001).
