Printpack is seeking a qualified Electro-Mechanical Technician to provide expertise and effective support in keeping the equipment/plant at optimum operating condition. This position will provide electro-mechanical support to the plant and maintain plant equipment and machinery. This position is for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX. This will be a day shift position from 7am - 3pm (Mon-Fri).***We are currently offering a Sign- On Bonus in the amount of: $3,000!**Key Responsibilities:Read electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic schematics and identify operation of systemInstall, operate and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systemsInspect and test electronic equipment using multi-meters, ammetersTroubleshoot 24V analog and digital circuitry, electric motors and identify failures in the plantSet up and troubleshoot VFDsTroubleshoot mechanical systems and identify and repair mechanical malfunctionsUse shop equipment, such as welder, mill, etc, to manufacture or repair mechanical componentsRecommend changes in installation specifications to simplify assembly & maintenanceMonitor installed equipment to identify potential failuresCommunicate actions taken to repair the machine to operator and/or managerCommunicate effectively with team members, corporate engineering, vendors, and internal customersDemonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standardsIdeal candidate will have:Nice blend of mechanical and electrical experienceExperience working with single phase / 3 phase motorsExperience working in a food grade environmentExperience working on printing press, laminators, or slittersMinimum Requirements:Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is requiredMinimum of two year technical training/apprenticeship plus three years maintenance experience preferred.Strong emphasis on troubleshooting in a team environmentAble to effectively redirect efforts on short noticeProficient computer skillsAble to work any shiftWillingness to learnPhysical ability to climb and work at elevationsBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision CoverageLife InsurancePet InsuranceHealth Savings AccountFlexible Spending AccountShort/Long Term Disability401(k) plan with employer contributions/matchEmployee Assistance ProgramsEducational AssistanceFitness ReimbursementService AwardsPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffPaid Parental LeavePrintpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
