The position requires organizing and staffing trade show booths, serving as a salesperson for Arkansas, maintaining records, and conducting industry visits to identify expansion opportunities. This position requires on-site employment with no remote or hybrid options available. Education and Professional Work Experience Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Community Development, Economics, or a related field. At least 8 years of experience in economic development, government, community planning, or project coordination. Experience in project collaboration, economic trends, and supporting business attraction or retention is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expertise in market research, economic impact analysis, and trend forecasting. Strong project management skills with familiarity with modern tools and methodologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reports, presentations, and engagement. Creative problem-solving abilities to develop community-focused solutions within budget and regulatory constraints. Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and funding identification. Job Responsibilities and Expected Results Providing site selection services to corporate clients and business consultants, including understanding client criteria, promoting Arkansas, negotiating incentives, and hosting decision-makers. Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and expanding companies through visits and communication. Engaging with local communities, officials, and organizations to support economic development needs. Training community leaders for economic development activities and follow-up. Collaborating with external organizations and committees outside AEDC. Managing incentive processes, including explanations, approvals, proposals, and application finalizations. Conducting industry research, identifying trends, and establishing leads within targeted industries. Maintaining accurate records and reports, including activity tracking and weekly updates.
