Job Description

Our client is a coeducational Catholic boarding and day school serving students in grades 9-12. Rooted in a classical liberal arts tradition and guided by Benedictine values, the School inspires students to grow in knowledge and character through academic excellence, community life, and service to others. The Director of Marketing & Communications leads a comprehensive strategy to elevate the School's visibility, reputation, and engagement across all audiences. This role oversees all aspects of marketing, branding, media relations, and communications to support enrollment, advancement, and community life.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing and communications plan aligned with the School's mission and goals.
  • Partner with the Head of School, Admissions, and Advancement to drive interest and engagement among prospective families, alumni, and donors.
  • Oversee all internal and external communications - including website, digital campaigns, publications, social media, and media relations.
  • Manage and maintain consistent brand identity across all platforms.
  • Supervise and mentor the marketing and communications team.
  • Lead video and digital storytelling initiatives to bring the School's mission to life.
  • Track metrics and assess the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts.
  • Provide leadership in communications strategy during key announcements or crisis situations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications, ideally within education or a mission-driven organization.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage teams.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., CMS, analytics, social media management, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience in video production and brand storytelling is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker who is creative, collaborative, and mission-oriented.
