Metrocare is Dallas County's largest provider of mental health, developmental disability, and supported housing services, serving over 50,000 individuals annually. We also run specialized programs for children, teens, and adults with disabilities, including autism clinics and early intervention programs. Our Altshuler Center for Education & Research advances community mental health through workforce development and trauma-informed training. Role Summary The Director of Business Development leads initiatives to grow the organization and expand its market presence. Responsibilities include developing strategies, analyzing market trends, supporting leadership with data-driven insights, and collaborating across teams to identify and pursue new opportunities aligned with organizational goals. Hours of Responsibility Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm Key Responsibilities Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with organizational goals. Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities. Create business cases for new initiatives and present to leadership. Establish and manage high-value partnerships and collaborations. Negotiate deals, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. Work with finance and leadership on pricing and financial models. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders including partners, healthcare organizations, and community agencies. Represent the organization at industry events and conferences. Serve as a point of contact for key clients and partners. Coordinate with internal teams to execute development initiatives. Lead project teams for partnership implementation and monitor performance. Align development activities with organizational capacity and goals. Track and report on KPIs related to business development and revenue. Provide updates to the executive team and adjust strategies as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience: Master’s degree in business, public administration, or related field with 5+ years of experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience preferred. Alternatively, 15+ years of mental health experience with 7+ years in management. Experience in sales/business development required. Additional Requirements: Valid Texas driver’s license or equivalent in other states, with the ability to obtain a Texas license within three months. Liability insurance if operating a personal vehicle for work, with an acceptable driving record.
