Retail Sales Associate/Bartender - Cask, BerkeleyCask is hiring a dynamic, hospitality-driven team member for a hybrid position that combines bartending shifts at our Tap Room with retail sales shifts at our boutique bottle shop, both located on College Avenue in Berkeley. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in guest-facing environments, and is excited about craft spirits, wine, beer, and the people who love them.The Cask Tap Room is a neighborhood craft beverage outpost nestled between Rockridge and Elmwood. We serve a rotating selection of curated pours inspired by the specialty bottles available in our retail shop, along with craft wines and beers. Our focus is on guest experience and education. Bartenders help customers discover new favorites and connect what's in their glass to what's on the shelf-often encouraging a bottle to take home.Cask is a boutique retail store specializing in small-production and hard-to-find spirits, wines, beers, and bar tools. Our retail staff provides welcoming, knowledgeable sales support to both enthusiasts and industry professionals.We're seeking someone with bar or restaurant experience who is also excited by specialty retail. You'll work different shifts in each setting-bartending on some days, retail sales on others-bringing your passion and adaptability to both.Responsibilities:Weekend availability is requiredTap Room ShiftsProvide friendly and informed bar service in a casual, craft-focused settingEngage guests with product knowledge and personalized recommendationsMaintain a clean, organized, and professional bar environmentRetail Store ShiftsDeliver engaging sales support for spirits, wine, and beerAssist with stockroom operations and store upkeepResolve customer inquiries with warmth and professionalismQualifications:Previous hospitality experience, ideally in both bar and retail environmentsStrong interest and baseline knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, or beerOutgoing, adaptable, and confident in guest interactionsComfortable using point-of-sale and other basic IT systemsEnthusiastic about being part of a team and growing your knowledgeBenefits:Hourly compensation starts at $20/hr for retail shop shifts and $18.67/hr plus tips for Tap Room shiftsPart-time or full-time hours available; exact schedule TBDAccess to brand reps, distributors, winemakers, brewers, and distillers through company eventsCompany-sponsored medical/dental/vision/commuter benefits are offered to all qualifying employeesMatching 401(k) is offered to qualifying employeesDiscount on products purchased within the storeEducation offered in both formal and informal settings, including reimbursement for several certificationsPlease send your cover letter and resume to apply.
