Summary

Bud's Goods of New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to transport cannabis products while ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the cannabis regulatory environment, including proficiency with Metrc manifests and required documentation, along with a clean driving record and experience operating vans and box trucks. This role requires physical activity, such as lifting up to 50 pounds and driving in various weather conditions, as well as proficiency in Microsoft applications and GPS tracking systems. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, pass background checks, hold a valid driver's license, and meet approval requirements for state badging and company vehicle insurance. Reporting to our Linden, NJ facility, this full-time position operates Monday through Friday, starting at 6 a.m., and demands professionalism, excellent judgment, and confidentiality.

Job Duties

\n
• Assist the Logistics Manager with preparation and loading of products into the vehicle
\n
• Operate a compliant van or box truck with transports cannabis products from our facility to their end destination, including several deliveries per day
\n
• Travel to pick up and deliver cannabis products from and between Marijuana Establishments
\n
• Ensure the delivery van never travels outside of the Commonwealth while it contains Marijuana and Marijuana Products
\n
• Perform all required vehicle checklists prior to and after completing each drop
\n
• Communicate with end destinations prior to arriving to prepare their teams
\n
• Unload the van per the company's safety standards to avoid injury or robbery
\n
• Follow the direction of the end destination clients to ensure we are adhering to their standards for safety, compliance, and efficiency
\n
• Take custody of any rejected packages and sign the manifests for those package tags
\n
• Ensure the vehicle doors are locked at all times when not loading or unloading products
\n
• Ensure the vehicle security systems are functioning properly during delivery
\n
• Confirm products leaving the facility are compliantly stored inside the vehicles
\n
• Store manifests and other delivery records in compliance with state laws and company policy during the deliveries and return to the facility with all required documentation
\n
• Keep the garage as well as the shipping and receiving areas tidy and well organized
\n
• Confirm vehicle climate systems are functioning properly and that all products are stored at the appropriate temperature during the transfer.

• Must have a solid understanding of the cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further understanding and knowledge of the industry, regulations, market trends and competition
\n
• Safe driver with a clean driving record
\n
• Competency with driving vans and box trucks
\n
• Strong knowledge of Metrc manifests and required information for the manifests
\n
• Highly motivated with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness
\n
• Operates with an elevated level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
\n

Experience and Education:

\n
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
\n
• Experience with driving as a job duty
\n
• Experience with GPS tracking systems
\n

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

• Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
\n
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
\n
• Able to drive for most of the workday, including in rain and snow
\n

• Must pass all required background checks

• Must possess valid driver's license

• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
\n
• Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

• Must be approved by company's vehicle insurance policy
\n
