  • Job type - Permanent, full time
  • Location - Remote (within United States) with 50%+ travel required
  • Working hours - Standard business hours PST however may be irregular due to travel requirements
Salary - $125,000 - $135,000 (not inclusive of bonus or commission pay)

What's the job:

We are seeking an experienced and results driven Business Development Manager to grow sales with a specialized focus on the construction sector. This role is pivotal in driving strategic growth, managing key partner relationships, and ensuring financial performance and operational efficiency

What you'll be doing:

Business development:
  • Generate leads (applications) and new business opportunities with a focus on construction, identifying financing needs and providing customized equipment finance solutions by prospecting, qualifying, onboarding and closing new vendor onboarding new vendors and programs
Relationship management:
  • Build long term partnerships with key construction vendors to enhance business volume and customer satisfaction
  • Develop strong business relationships with and day to day contacts with vendor customers
  • Address customer issues/concerns in an accurate and timely manner
  • Work closely with clients to understand the business needs and to explore opportunities for growth
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers for business retention
  • Stay abreast of recent industry trends and share insight gained from the sector with colleagues and internal stakeholders to position the broader group for success and to aid in new product development initiatives
Financial Performance:
  • Meet or exceed financial targets, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
What you bring:
  • 10+ years of experience in the equipment finance industry in the construction sector working with OEM and major national vendors and/or dealers
  • You are competitive while always adhering to the company's core values
  • Results-driven and action-oriented
  • Proven track record in sourcing, analysis, risk assessment, negotiation, due diligence and successfully closing transactions
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • A strong sense of integrity, professionalism and a results-oriented attitude to continually improve processes and systems, enhance efficiency, and contribute to overall organizational success
  • Works well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
  • University degree in a related field (Economics, Commerce, or Finance)
