We are seeking an entry-level Biomedical Technician to support the routine and specialized maintenance of biomedical and scientific equipment and instrumentation across the institution.

This is a full time day shift position.
Job Responsibilities: - Provides electronic maintenance services and maintenance on institution wide biomedical and scientific instrumentation and equipment. Troubleshoots equipment for electronic failures. As necessary or required by specifications or repair, replaces parts or modules. Calibrates equipment per manufacturer specifications. Provides routine and scheduled maintenance on all equipment, completes accurately and within specified time. Provides consultation services to hospital staff to maintain optimal service use of department equipment. Installs new or used equipment per manufacturer specifications.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports. Prepares work orders to include service trouble, services performed, equipment nomenclature and identification, service time, parts replaced, and parts and labor cost. Prepares purchase orders to support equipment parts failure. Maintains reports as necessary to comply with hospital, DNV, state and federal requirements. Enters and retrieves maintenance data from department computer data base.
- Maintains positive employee, staff, and visitor relations
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goal's and objectives of the department
- Provides mentoring or training to department members as necessary.
Minimum Education and/or Training: - High school graduate with Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or Biomedical Engineering preferred
- In lieu of Associate Degree, intensive factory training in repair and service of biomedical and scientific related equipment
Minimum Experience: - One year experience in the biomedical engineering field or equivalent with emphasis in repair and service on biomedical or scientific related equipment
Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $26.00 - $45.50 per hour for the role of Biomedical Technician (Clinical Engineer I).
