Trusted./ppWe are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support and strengthen our National Industrial Security Program in a possessing facility environment. This position demands a proactive and accountable security professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical, and compliance-focused setting, managing a team of security professionals in delivering a gold-standard program./ph3Responsibilities/h3pThe AFSO is responsible for supporting the FSO in implementing and maintaining the organizations security program in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM). The AFSO must ensure compliance with DCSA directives and serve as a critical partner in the execution of daily security operations. Key responsibilities include:/pulliSupervise a team of security professionals delivering a gold-standard program./liliEnsure proper safeguarding and handling of classified materials, including storage, transmission, and destruction./liliConduct and document required self-inspections and corrective actions plans in accordance with DCSA guidelines./liliSupport and maintain a corporate wide facilitys and branch offices./li/ululliProcess and maintain personnel security clearances via DISS./liliMaintain records of cleared employees and manage reinvestigations and continuous vetting requirements./liliMaintain accurate records for initial, annual, special briefings, debriefings, and insider threat training./liliMaintain personnel records and briefings to ensure compliance./li/ululliOversee receipt, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information./liliMaintain accountability and control of all classified assets and records./liliEnsure compliance with safeguarding standards including proper use of GSA-approved containers and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)./liliManage secure storage containers and combinations; ensure proper accountability of classified holdings./liliMaintain access control logs, courier authorizations, and destruction certificates./liliOversee secure communications and courier procedures./liliHandle responsibilities as a Designated Government Representative./li/ululliSupport Insider Threat Program implementation and awareness activities./liliAssist with the planning, execution, and documentation of annual self-inspections and vulnerability assessments./li/ululliTrack, manage, and create DD254s, classified contract requirements, and subcontractor security compliance./liliCoordinate with Program Managers to ensure facility and personnel security requirements align with contract deliverables./li/ululliManage physical access controls, alarm systems, and visitor control procedures for classified spaces./liliCoordinate with IT to ensure security integrity of classified processing environments./liliSupport SCIF/SAPF operations in compliance with applicable directives./liliEnsure physical protection of classified processing and storage areas; coordinate with facility maintenance and security vendors for IDS/Secure Area issues./liliManage the alarm response protocols and ensure compliance with UL 2050 standards./li/ululliPrepare reports, incident notifications, and required documentation in support of government and internal policies./liliServe as the alternate point of contact with DCSA Industrial Security Representative (ISR)./liliPrepare for and support DCSA security reviews and audits; respond to findings and recommendations./liliCollaborate with group leaders, program managers, IT personnel, and cybersecurity to align security practices./li/ululliDevelop, conduct, and document recurring training for all cleared and uncleared personnel on security procedures, counterintelligence awareness, and operational security (OPSEC)./liliMaintain training records and ensure compliance with annual and caveat training certificate requirements./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliExperience 7+ years in industrial security with direct experience at a large fast-paced possessing contractor facility./liliCogswell Award recipient, or a consistent track record of Superior and Commendable ratings for a large possessing facility./liliCompletion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities training through CDSE./liliEffective leadership, communication, and teamwork skills./liliStrong attention to detail and organization./liliProficiency with DISS, NISS, SWFT, NBIS, SIMS CCURE, and other security related systems./liliIn-depth understanding of the NISPOM, Insider Threat Program requirements, and industrial security best practices./liliMust be willing to work onsite in Alexandria, VA, Monday through Friday (5 days a week). This is a fully onsite role with no remote or hybrid options at this time./li/ul/div
