Job Description

Support communication access for K-12 students in a vibrant school environment as a Sign Language Interpreter. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work within an educational setting, facilitating effective communication and enhancing learning experiences for deaf and hard-of-hearing students throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation between students, teachers, and staff.
• Assist in classroom activities by ensuring equal communication access for all students.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethics.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong interpreting skills.
• Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families.

Location:

• Live Oak, California (onsite position within the K-12 school setting).

Employment Type:
