It’s our Low Observable Aircraft Structural Maintenance specialists who fabricate and modify the metals we use in our aircraft to keep all this technology in place. From inspecting our aircraft upon final assembly to repairing structural damage, they make sure we can carry out our missions undetected. Primary Responsibilities Determine the extent of damages to aircraft and perform repairs accordingly. Apply low observable materials and coating to aircraft. Repair structural parts and components while preserving aircraft’s structural integrity. Manufacture layouts, jigs, fixtures and molds. Qualifications This is an active-duty position as an Air Force Reserve officer. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements: Must have a high school diploma, GED or GED with 15 college credits Mechanical ASVAB requirements Knowledge of low observable aircraft construction features Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training Must be between the ages of 17 and 39 About the Air Force Reserve The Air Force Reserve is a proud partner in America’s defense, offering a variety of part-time and full-time careers with full-time benefits.
